DESIGNER - shichijiro
I was pleased to hear via email from designer Emily Fukuyama known as Shichijiro who is based in Princeton New Jersey. Emily kind told me she loved the Print & Pattern Blog and has been inspired by the P&P books over the years. So it made total sense to showcase some of her cute designs here for our Friday eye candy, and mention she sells super cute invitations and baby announcements online at Panda & Friends.

NEW WORK - suzanne washington
Designer Suzanne Washington has been developing lots of new work which is now available for licensing. Suzanne has been really inspired by Japanese and Oriental art which she says is so on trend right now. Suzanne loves working on fun novelties, but these new pieces posted below show a more detailed and feminine side to her work. She is now seeking new freelance clients to work with on creative projects this year, and would love to work on product areas such as stationery, home, gift and craft. You can find Suzanne online at her website Suzy Spellbound and on Instagram.

JAPANESE DESIGN - katakata
Today on P&P is a celebration of Japanese designers Takeshi Matsunaga and Chie Takai, better known as Kata Kata. We last looked at Kata Kata design way back in June 2013 so I thought it was high time we checked in to see how things are going now. The design duo the traditional Japanese technique called Katazome which uses glue paste to resist ink. One of their latest projects featuring swirling fish and climbing monkeys (above and below) was created for the UK retailer Lush. You can find out more from Kata Kata online here and follow them on Instagram.
