DESIGNER - leo lionni

Something that came out of my recent Japan Week research was to find a collection of products featuring the work of the late designer Leo Lionni. His illustrations have been used on wall art, plates, cups, and all kinds of different products. Leo Lionni was born in 1910 Amsterdam, but moved to Italy as a young teenage. He spent time working in the USA creating graphics for brochures, advertising and magazines, before returning to Italy where he achieved great success with his children's books. His collages and bold coloured animals were a big hit. Website / Instagram Tags

JAPAN WEEK - aiko fukuwa

I know Japan Week was officially last week here on P&P but I found so much I still had another couple of artists to share. One of those is Aiko Fukuwa who produces the most beautiful hand painted animal designs. Aiko graduated from the Tokyo University of Arts in 2005 and now works as a freelance illustrator and designer creating art for advertisements, book covers, stationery, magazines, children’s picture books, and more. Aiko enjoys working with international clients and would welcome interest from different countries. Website / Instagram.
