COLLAB - ikea x marimekko

IKEA has partnered with renowned Finnish design company Marimekko to co-create the new limited-edition BASTUA collection. Inspired by Nordic nature, wellness, and self-care rituals, the range consists of  26 items including furniture, glassware, and textiles in bold prints and vibrant colours. BASTUA marks the first time that Marimekko have designed a set of prints exclusively for a brand collaboration making it truly unique. The collection features four special prints created by our established designers Maija Louekari and Sami Ruotsalainen. Raparperi (rhubarb), Höyrykukka (steam flower), and Pötkö (bar stripe) are designed by Maija, and Puuleikkaus (woodcarving) by Sami. The collaboration prints and textures were inspired by exuberant rhubarbs that grow near sauna buildings, the soft, curved cuts of carved wood, and gentle water ripples on lakes illuminated by the midnight sun. The BASTUA limited-edition collection is available exclusively in IKEA retail channels starting in March and I went to my local store recently to take a look.

Today I thought I'd post some fashion prints that were spotted in White Stuff. Featuring prints from dresses, tops, cups and tea towels there are some interesting motifs and colours to be seen in stores and online.
