PAPERCHASE PREVIEW

its my last day of blogging before my annual summer break, and luckily im going out on a bang with this exclusive paperchase preview. 'folk trees' is a forthcoming design from the paperchase autumn/winter season and is not yet in the shops. this scandinavian inspired design is absolutely beautiful and comes on the full range of paperchase products such as files, photo albums, notebooks, mugs, etc. it also follows through in an alternative version onto christmas cards, wrap and decorations. dont forget this a special sneak preview featuring a few snapshots i took at the paperchase press show - but look out for 'folk trees' in stores this autumn. paperchase are also launching a brand new website in september making it even easier to get hold of their products online.

i absolutely loved these new prints from alice apple's etsy shop. devon based alice is renowned for her cute sausage dogs but these cute gocco prints would look great in any kitchen or studio.

STATIONERY - sukie memo block

what will i be doing on my summer break? well i will be moving into my new little office space. i'll be painting, decorating, building lots of ikea billy flatpacks and moving all my books etc. i may report how its going on my own freelance blog if i feel brave enough. the first new item i purchased for my new room is this sukie noteblock which i have been waiting for chronicle books to release for ages.

BOOK - creative inc

if you were one of the many people who bought the really useful book 'craft inc' by meg mateo ilasco then you'll definitely be interested in her follow up 'creative inc'. this new book follows the same format - but focuses on advice for anyone working as a freelance designer. useful items include how to set out an invoice, how to present your portfolio, and it features interviews with successful freelancers. this is the perfect book for designers, graduates, and anyone looking to take the plunge and work for themselves. see it here on amazon uk or amazon usa.

US lighting company seascape have just produced some new lampshade designs from rachael taylor. featuring rachael's gorgeous prints they are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. as seen online here. you can also see more of rachael's personal work in her folksy shop here.

CARDS - lagom zootown

zootown is a brand new collection of cards from kelly hyatt at uk publisher lagom. there are 16 designs in the range which are suitable for all sorts of occassions, and they also feature embossing for an extra special touch. see the whole series online here.
