more friday eye candy with fresh patterned papers by US scrapbooking faves american crafts. the two spring florals (above & below) are from their dear lizzy enchanted collection. followed by a geometric design from 'city park' and a sketchy floral from 'hello sunshine'.

PACKAGING - the balcony gardener

these are the latest seed packet designs from stylish company 'the balcony gardener'. they have done a terrific job of stylising vegetables and herbs to create graphic patterns.

CARDS - kate ball for velvet olive

'back to black' is a new card range from velvet olive designed by kate ball. kate has been working within the design industry, specializing in the gift and product market since completing her MA in communication design at central saint martin's in 2004. previous clients have included woodmansterne and roger la borde. there are 24 designs in total - some of which i've posted here and have picked out sections of the lovely detail. see more from kate ball design online here.

GIFT WRAP - lagom

lagom have released a new series of wrapping papers. there are four designs from ingela p arrhenius and two from finnish marimekko designer, aino–maija metsola (more on aino-maija in the next post).
also being launched are two additions, berlin and sydney, to lagom's map wrap series which was recently 'highly commended' in the gift of the year awards 2011.finally lagom are now the exclusive uk distributors for japanese label winged wheel.

DESIGNER - aino-maija metsola

after seeing aino-maija metsola's work at lagom i was keen to see a bit more, and discovered these intricately beautiful drawings on her portfolio site. i love all the detail, for example on the apple illustration below. aino-maija is a regualr designer for marimekko and takes on freelance projects.
