also spotted in the same issue of country homes and interiors was a fabulous wall of this hanna werning wallpaper by borastapeter. its a bold and busy design featuring lots of plant and animal life and was designed in 2011.

sanna pelliccioni is the designer behind the finnish company bombo. named after the italian word for 'bumble bee' bombo produce kitchen accessories and paper goods. shown here are a series of designs based around the concept of family. you can see more from bombo online here.

STUDENT - james bradley

james bradley is a graphic design student at the university of cumbria who has been creating designs based on the relationship between pattern and typography. james has created a promotional book to introduce his work which he has called a 'maifesto of me' and here are some the colourful graphic patterned pages...

KIDS DESIGN - joules

i enjoyed having a good look around the joules website recently -so many lovely dresses. joules is a british brand with a country style heritage and shops all across the country. i was there however to look at children's designs and here are some cute patterns, placement prints, and nusery decor that caught my eye.

museums and galleries have recently launched a new co-ordinated stationery range, using a selection of patterns from the archives of the victoria and albert museum, as part of a celebration of mid 20th century british textile design.
and also from museums and galleries (below) designs on notebooks from the wedgwood museum range featuring classic eric ravilious images.

i'll be taking a break from blogging for the rest of this week as i need to make a really big push on the new print & pattern kids book and get tons of work done. it will also be the jubilee long weekend when britain celebrates 60 years reign by queen elizabeth II with two bank holidays in a row!. so with all that in mind i will be back on the 6th june. above jubilee tea towel by emma bridgewater and mock-up of print & pattern kids used for proposals.

CARDS - lesley barnes

lesley barnes has created these two fabulous lion illustrations for a card featuring 'happy' on the front and 'sad' on the back. i loved the use of brightly coloured pattern infill and mid century flavour. as spotted on etsy here.
