Camilla Falsini is a freelance designer, painter and illustrator based in Rome. Camilla splits her work between digital designs for editorials, books, posters etc. and paintings which sometimes cover whole buildings. She exhibits regularly and her past clients have included La Scala in Milan, Sony Playstation, Nike, and Feltrinelli. I have out and about shopping this weekend and one of the things to catch my eye was the new gift packaging lines in Boots. As we now in the Christmas shopping season the stores put a lot more emphasis on the design of the packaging and it's a great time to look for ideas and colours. Labels in Boots this year included lovely florals from Joules in grey and brights, and fashion conscious rabbits by Fifi Lapin. Also catching my eye cats and a whole stack of geometrics.
Talking of Boots, they have teamed up with Orla Kiely to create a new toiletry range with lovely graphic packaging. The collection is exclusive to Boots and features two new scents; energising orange & caraway and calming sage and Lavender.
And this got me wondering what else is new for winter at Orla Kiely? And here are a few newly designed phone cases that have been recently launched....
Cherith Harrison is a designer and printmaker from Edinburgh who has created a range a Scottish themed products. Cherith's unique home and gift range feature wild rabbits, birds, foxes and her own Scottie dog in tea towels, shopping bags, mugs and greetings cards. The designs all began as screen prints which Cherith illustrates and prints herself and were then adapted onto product. You can see more online here.
