Dot Dash Studio are delighted to be returning to Blueprint for their second year.Based in the UK in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, the Studio is the collaboration of 4 designers, all with a very distinct style – ranging from watercolour florals, bold vector character design, naïve conversationals and quirky hand drawn illustrations.Their designs have been used for home décor, gifting, stationery and greetings cards for a variety of UK and US customers.Building on the success of last year’s show the New 2018 Collection focuses on new seasonal themes using watercolour textures. Christmas ranges include Extreme Santa having fun on the slopes, typographical seasonal slogans and cute animal characters. New hand rendered florals with a vintage feel feature for spring summer. With over 20 years experience of working in graphic design and fashion the team specializes in creating both trend driven and seasonal collections with a strong cohesive look. Kirsten Katz is an artist and Surface Pattern Designer based in Sydney Australia. Kirsten will be exhibiting her latest work and new print collections from her portfolio internationally for the first time this month in New York at the Blue Print Show 2. In addition to signature floral prints, beautiful birds, geometrics and coastal themed work Kirsten also will be exhibiting her new Christmas and Winter Holiday collections and a range of painted floral bouquets and folk inspired designs. During Blue Print her work will be available for licensing in many markets. Lisa Cinar is an illustrator, picture book-fan, tea-drinker, dog-petter, and pattern-lover. Her work features free and spontaneous lines, fun and playful characters mixed with both bold and softer color combinations. Lisa successfully creates illustrations for her stationery shop Draw Me A Lion and publishers in the Children’s Picture Book industry. Specialising in imagery for kids and animal lovers of all ages she likes to insert a bit of fun into her creations whenever possible. Lisa lives and works in Vancouver Canada. Catherine McGuire will be showing her designs for licensing and sale in booth 24 at Blueprint Show 1. She is thrilled to have won this year's Blueprint Shows Young Designers Competition and to be exhibiting her work at a show for the first time. Catherine combines expressive watercolour with digital details and doodles to create designs with an energetic, fun vibe. Her designs also feature her unique style of hand lettering and typography. She designs illustrations and patterns for a variety of markets; including stationery, textiles, home decor, and more. Her designs showcase her love of the outdoors, creatures large and small, and all things floral. Her latest work focuses on themes like sea creatures, cacti, bright florals, bears, geometrics, and dinosaurs. Oak Print Design is the creative studio of Camilla Carvalho. She is a surface pattern designer based in Canada and will be making her debut at Blue Print Show 2 this May in Booth 11. Camilla creates bright and crisp designs that can be used in textiles, stationery, home goods and children’s market. Lisa Kirkbride is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Whitley Bay, in the North East of England. She is showing at her first Blueprint Show (Show 1) along with Finch & Foxglove - an international collective of artists with studios in the UK, Canada, Germany and the US. Lisa has worked with UK and US brands and has designs on products in the gift, paper craft, textile and stationery markets. Her work can be viewed online here.
The Tiny Garden Design Studio run by pattern designer Maria Vashchuk will be showing their designs at Blueprint, and Surtex shows for the very first time. The Tiny Garden is a small surface pattern design atelier based in Haarlem, the Netherlands. For the shows, Maria has created a lot of new collections that include floral prints, kids designs, seasonal prints and incorporate Pantone SS19 colours. The Tiny Garden's designs will be shown at Blueprint Show 1, 17-19 May 2018 (Nerida Hansen's Booth) and Surtex Show, 20-22 May, Booth 2524 & 2528 (represented by Nerida Hansen).
