NEW WORK - megan carter

We are lucky enough today to have some beautiful new work from one of our Designers for Hire  Megan Carter. Megan has teamed up with the design agency Creative Sparrow and has lots of new portfolio work there for any interested clients to view. There are patterns, card designs and illustrations on offer. Megan has also had success landing a superb client in Cotton + Steel who gave her some most welcome and enjoyable projects to work on over this past year of lockdowns.

Megan's second fabric collection with Cotton + Steel called 'Glory' (below) was released this Spring and her third next will launch in September.
And Megan is also available for illustration projects, here are some examples of her style...

DESIGNER FOR HIRE - mirja mauno

We have a new entry in the Designers for Hire Directory today. Hanna Mason is a designer based in Berlin who creates under the studio label Mirja MaunoShe describes her work as bold and contemporary, yet nostalgic with a strong Scandinavian influence.

Hanna is originally from London, but prior to living in Berlin she moved to Helsinki to work in knitwear design. She is also the co founder of the female design collective Hei Hei Store and studio, who have just opened a shop in Berlin's Kreuzberg district where they focus on sustainable fashion and accessories with everything made 'in house'. Hanna sells prints, cards and fabric products and hosts a weekly 'Design your own fabric' workshop'. She has most recently collaborated with her studio colleague and friend Elise Rolot to create a capsule summer collection of organic cotton jumpsuits and dresses for both women's and children's wear. Hanna is also working on a collaboration soon to be released with a Berlin based Poylmer clay jewelry designer.

Hanna's Finnish heritage is a major inspiration to her and her label name 'Mirja Mauno' comes from her beloved Finnish grandparents who were a very important part of her life growing up. As were, and still are, the forests and lakes of Finland, folk art and mid century design and architecture. She has previously licensed her designs to knitwear and textile design companies and would love to do more of the same, Hanna is open to collaborative projects and finding representation and would love to hear from anyone interested in working with her.
