JAPANESE WEEK

this week on print & pattern i'll be looking at designs and websites from japan and korea. so if you like all kinds of zakka & cute then this is for you. many of you will already be fans, but seeing as there may be some that are new to the style, we will start by looking at the familiar brands first. today we'll take a look at 3 big brands decole, cram cream, and shinzi katoh. these three companies have a big following here in the west and you can find them fairly easily online. i'll try to post a list of where to buy later in the week. but for now just scroll down for tons of japanese eye candy.....

DECOLE - eye candy

decole is the cutest of all the brands, and over time ive saved up lots of decole pictures, so many in fact that i will need to spread them over each day so as you dont get decole fatigue. my personal favourites are the stationery designs, but i thought i'd also post some more unusual pieces. decole is so popular that it has its own dedicated flickr group here, you can also browse around chocoa for yet more cuteness.

DECOLE - web graphics

super cute illustrations from the decole website.

CRAM CREAM - cute

next up its cram cream, a brand for which many of us think of deco tape, printed rolls of patterned tape that are another kawaii/zakka phenomenon. many of you love to collect and use these tapes, they make parcels and letters go with a swing, and how cute do they look on etsy parcels ?. just take look at this cram cream flickr group to see how popular it is.
