two new prints in this week at urban outfitters. im loving the print with this bird design above, such great colours, and the pattern below is certainly fun and colourful.

CARDS - dutch door press

last week i recieved the most awesome package of goodies from the fabulous dutch door press in san francisco. im now the proud owner of two of their lovely prints, one being a really useful 2008 calendar and several colourful cards. even their business cards are little works of art. named after the stunning victorian house where they are based mara murphy and anna branning produce these boldly coloured designs on two antique printing presses. inspirations come from vintage patterns and a love of symmetry. the dutch door press have some seriously cool stockists in the USA but good news for us international fans, they have an etsy store and ship worldwide.

CARDS - fun cup cake

also in the post lately ive recieved 3 cards from funcupcake, which came with a cool postcard and extra little stickers and moo cards.

BOOK - i love badges

im still working my way through my books from the print & pattern bookshop and todays title is 'i love badges' by eva minguet camara, published by monsa. this is a great addition to the book 'badge, button, pin' which was published last year on the same subject. now if you're thinking you wouldnt like this book because you are not into badge design, then think again. this book could inspire artists, illustrators, graphic designers or anyone who uses colour and type. it has great photography, good designs and not too much text. see it here on amazon usa or amazon uk.
