bright and exotic colours have been used on these new floral works by pink light design, who put together wonderful pattern collections which are available for sale or licensing. pink light is based in seatttle and was founded by mary beth freet, you can check out their designs online here.

NEW SEASON - ikea catalogue

the new ikea 2010 catalogue dropped through my letterbox last week and obviously i went straight for the textiles section. looks like a store visit is in order soon, but in the meantime new fabrics can be viewed online.

FABRICS - fabricworm

some of the lovely new fabrics in at fabricworm this month. my faves are the 'natura' collection from alexander henry which features great motifs in a bold painterly style, and a fab colour palette on florals from patricia bravo.

DESIGNER - jennifer nunn

jennifer nunn is a part time fine jewellery designer and maker who has just started to take on freelance print projects, mainly for fashion. her two blogs jelly and frill design have lots of examples of her work and inspiration. i love the linear floral above, and the clever repeat of the horses below. contact jennifer if you are interested in any collaborations, projects or commissions.

lesley grainger studied design and illustration in england and is now based in the USA. after many years working as a graphic designer and illustrator lesley decided to pursue her own design business and is currently working on projects for bedding, surface design, digital and paper goods. lesley's fun colourful work is a combination of painted and digital, depending on the clients requirements, and it can be viewed here on her beautiful website.

fun wall decal stickers from new zealand - from etsy shop sticky tiki. their decals are made from fabric so they wont rip or wrinkle or damage your space, they can be repositioned and moved countless times, and are also washable so sticky little fingermarks can be wiped away. they can also be used outdoors.

PAPERCHASE - food friends

paperchase's design funny food has been given an update for the new season with 'food friends' and its now cuter than ever. so far ive only seen the wrapping paper in stores but a full collection is due out soon. here are some snaps of the new design - my particular fave is the super sweet saucepan below. the design has been given a real feeling of space by using black linear motifs between the full colour ones.
