PAPERCHASE - new concept room/books

also coinciding yesterday with my visit to progressive greetings was the press launch of a new concept room and design bookstore at paperchase in london. located on the first floor of their flagship tottenham court road store this superbly decorated new area of stone, glass, and high gloss has been created to display designer gifts and a choice selection of books. items include cool korean stationery, fine pens, ceramics, jewellery, toiletries, bags, wallets and more. next time you are in london why not add this to your list of must-see store visits.

im continuiung with my shots from the national stationery show in new york. i've long been a fan of designer carolyn gavin so it was a real treat to visit her ecojot booth. carolyn and her borther mark were launching lots of new lines all of which are 100% recycled and many have charitable promotions such a new line for endangered species. see more from ecojot online here.

talking of carolyn gavin, i picked up one of her fabulous sketch pads(above) in paper creation, and (below) i had been wanting to get hold of a henry road tote file for some time. released by galison i found it in lees art shop on 57th street. i took some snaps in both of these stores so will post more soon with full location details.

NY STATIONERY SHOW - chronicle books

there was plenty of great design and illustration to see on the chronicle books stand - including this new noteblock from sukie. other highlights for me included suzy ultman's 'masha & friends' doll cards and junzo terada's stationery. i 'll definitely be going through the fall catalogue i picked up from chronicle and will post some more highlights soon.
