DESIGNER - wendy kendall
i was absolutely spoilt for choice when i had the honour of being invited to look at the portfolio of designer wendy kendall. there were so many great designs to choose from it was hard to edit them down. wendy works as a surface pattern designer in manchester, where she specialises in bedding and childrens designs. after working inhouse with several UK bedding manufacturers, wendy is now freelancing for home textile clients and would welcome new briefs and commissions. you can visit her website for more info online here.
NEW WORK - solitaire
solitaire have introduced new designs for winter including notebooks, trays, christmas cards and wrapping paper. solitaire's christmas theme is 'partridges and pears', and the new robin card matches an existing wrap. the new tray design is made in sweden, although these are the only things solitaire sell which are made outside the UK. made from sustainable birch wood they are dishwasher safe and are donned in their new foliage and birds pattern.

KIDS DESIGN - primark
more children's design storesnaps today from last weeks shopping trip. first up we have a selection of babywear from primark. they have used lots of bright colours and fun characters to create a very cheerful, and fortunately cheap, collection for boys and girls. my fave things to look at are the 'onesies' sold in packs of co-ordinating prints.
