EXHIBITION - designers guild

This year marks 50 years of Designers Guild, and so to celebrate the Fashion and Textile Museum are staging a major retrospective exhibition, Out of the Blue.
The exhibition unravels Tricia Guild’s distinctive approach to the world of interior design. Offering unique access to Designers Guild’s archive, with never before displayed original designs and artwork, Out of the Blue will showcase the story of Designers Guild, in settings that capture the changing tastes in interiors over the past five decades.

ART FUNDRAISER - lila ruby king

Anna from Lila Ruby King is a designer and illustrator based in Athens, Greece who has created special print designs to raise money for the Australian bushfires. Her local, screen printer Tind offered to print them at no charge. 'My hero!' says Anna. For the designs Anna drew very heavily on pattern as well as creating something very dense detail. Each design features some of the plants and animals found in the two Australian states most affected by the fires. She wanted to create something positive and beautiful, that would celebrate the uniqueness of Australia's native flora and fauna, and to highlight what is that we are trying to protect! Anyone interested can head to Anna's webshop here for instructions on how to order.
