CHRISTMAS CARDS - hannah day uk

With Christmas coming ever earlier many independent illustrators are already selling their festive designs. Hannah Day UK has released a new collection of Christmas cards featuring scans of original collage works. There are three designs in each pack featuring two angels and a star. Before collaging begins Hannah creates her coloured paper through over printing techniques leading to many layers of texture, giving the final illustrations a softness and depth. Illustrations are accompanied by Latin inscriptions on a scroll. CHRISTMAS 2021 - mariëtte strik

Netherlands based illustrator and pattern designer Mariëtte Strik recently told me about her new Christmas gift tags. Mariëtte has created a range of colourful little cards made of old history book pages and scraps of paper, that are all hand sewn. There is space on the front to write a personal message and on the back of each card you can read some interesting historical facts. Find out more at  @astrikillu

One of our 'Designers for Hire' Amanda Brady of Green Hound Press has a fun new collection that is available for licensing. NEW WORK - nastja holt

Today we have some beautiful new work from designer Nastja Holt.  Nastja has recently created a brand new Instagram account to separate her pattern design work from her childrens book illustrations. DESIGNER - kelly reese

Kelly Reese is an artist and surface pattern designer based in Weaverville, North Carolina. Her patterns and illustrations are inspired by little moments and the joys of everyday life. She is self-taught and loves participating in the wonderful community surrounding this industry. She hopes to see her work on home goods, stationery, and other products that bring joy to people's lives every day. She teaches on Skillshare and is opening an online shop soon!
