ANTHROPOLOGIE - new london store

this friday a little bit of new york comes to london as anthropologie opens its first store in europe. located at 158 regent street i was lucky enough to attend the press preview yesterday and bring you these snapshots. next time you are in london for shopping, inspiration, and trends then anthropologie is your newly added destination. being just a few minutes from the main oxford street shops and liberty with zara home and habitat just over the road you can make a real day of it. anthropologie spans three floors and the main feature is huge living wall of plants which are watered from rainwater collected on the roof.

LONDON - anthropologie

snapped last week : the front of the new anthropologie store in regents street london. opening late 2009 i am hoping they will have lots of homewares, textiles and papergoods and not just fashion. there will also be a branch opening early 2010 on the kings road, chelsea. watch this space for more info and pics. never seen anthropologie before? see these pics i took last year.

NEW YORK TRIP - anthropologie

my new york photo reports continue today with a trip to anthropologie. there are three stores in manhattan and i found the one at the rockerfeller plaza on 5oth street to be the calmest and best one to visit, the 85 fifth avenue store was a lot busier. anthropologie is part of the same company as urban outfitters and was founded to take urbans customers to 'the next stage of their life'. i.e aimed at 30-40 year old women with lots of money to spend. because they dont advertise they plow a lot of money into the looks of their stores, hence the merchandising and window displays are spectatcular. good news for those of us in the UK, i was reliably informed that they are planning a london store soon. i took loads of pics, in fact i had to edit these down, but be warned this post is still pretty long.
