DESIGNER - andrea dieterich

the christmas holidays are over, and 2009 is here! its been nice to have a break, although a lot of the time was spent preparing my book for a new years eve deadline. as soon as i have more news on the release date i will share it here, but i since starting the project i have realised that unlike blogging book publishing is painfully slow. Thanks to everyone who left me christmas messages here on P+P over the holiday. I expect i will post up some of my fave xmas cards and gifts, but after that it will be full steam ahead and looking towards spring. Today ive been looking at a new blog by designer andrea dieterich, from santiago, chile. andrea wrote to me a few years ago when she worked at casa & ideas, where she was a designer in the table & kitchen & dept. she is now working as a freelance graphic designer and has been illustrating and making her own products, such as notebooks and bags. check out her blog and label here at rulibume.

casa & ideas

i heard about chilean company casa & ideas when one of their designers andrea left me a message inviting me to take a look. andrea works in the table & kitchen dept with 5 other designers ( although they have an amazing 45 strong design team overall ). i was really impressed with their products and it was so refreshing for me to see a retailer that wasnt US or european. here ive picked out some favourites but do have a good look round the website if you get chance.
many thanks to andrea for telling us about her company.
