EXHIBITION - st judes in the city

norwich design collaborative st.judes will be returning to london later this year for an exhibition at the bankside gallery. (st.judes is of course the home of P+P fave angie lewin who will be launching a new book at the event). the show will include the work of seventeen printmakers, some sneak peaks below, as well as their renowned artists fabrics. keep up to date with st.judes happenings online here.

TEXTILES - st judes

ive been keeping an eye on the textile company st.judes ever since i discovered angie lewin's work there a few years ago. new designs added since we last looked include above and below kensal rising by old town and dove flight by mark herald.
also, exciting news from st.judes - ive heard they are going to be working with alice stevenson (who we loved here) and who created this lovely tree covered book jacket design. fingers crossed.

TEXTILES - st judes

the latest artist-designed fabric from st judes is 'lionheart' by ed kluz. the fabric is a 3 colour design screen printed in the UK and available in 2 colourways. ed kluz wanted to create a pattern "which hints at the man made symbols of britain." it depicts the simplified forms of castles, follies, pavilions, cottages, cathedrals, mills, a steam train and a sailing ship and of course the lion. see more online at st judes.

TEXTILES - angie lewin for st.judes

you may remember last thursday i mentioned angie lewin's new fabric was about to be released. and sure enough 'hedgerow' is now up online at the st.judes website where we can get a view of this new graphic floral pattern design for the first time, and see all the colourways and how it repeats. its absolutely gorgeous and great addition to the st.judes collections. also new is mark hearld's 'bird garden'.

the norfolk based art studio st judes have headed into london for a new exhibition featuring fabrics, wallpapers, and prints from angie lewin, emily sutton, and mark hearld. the exhibition takes place between thursday 24th May - saturday 2nd June 2012 at 30 tottenham court road, london. below : textiles from emily sutton

WINNER - best british pattern design 2011

i have just heard the news from st.judes that emily sutton's design "curiosity shop" has won the 'best british pattern design' category in the british design awards 2011 (in association with Elle decoration and the daily telegraph). to be totally honest with you i was very suprised by the nominations in this category but see what you think about the other nominees online here. for more on emily's fabrics visit st.judes and look out for the winners of other categories in the december issue of elle deco magazine.

WALLPAPER/FABRIC - angie lewin

St.Judes have announced the forthcoming launch of the latest fabrics and wallpaper by Angie Lewin. Birch Tree Sun was inspired by Angie's 2006 wood engraving Five Trees and her 2010 screen print Winter Birches, the embryonic design for the new fabric, which we first saw in her 2010 book 'Plants & Places'. Birch Tree Sun wallpaper and fabrics will be available online here in late summer 2015.
