the new ikea book has just dropped through the letterbox. as i flicked through the pages i was amazed at the boldness of the patterns this year. it seems they dont feel the need, like a lot of UK retailers, to 'play it safe' when it comes to textile prints. you only have to look at the double page spread below to see what i mean. ive taken a few snaps of some of the pages for those that have yet to get hold of a copy.

Some of the black and white fabrics remind me of 70's doodle art.
This is so true -- I was just at Ikea today, actually, and couldn't stop commenting on how many different new patterns and prints there were. They've really gone crazy -- it's beautiful!
Love Ikea and their textiles. You have a delightful blog, too - I shall enjoy returning.
IKEA rarely disappoints - LOVE the blue and gold fabrics - gorgeous!
I think that the new ikea fabrics and patterns were the things that impressed me most about this season.
You're absolutely right, these are lovely prints. These look like a step up from previous IKEA prints, which looked good from afar but I always felt like there was something missing from the design.
