textile designs by susan meller & joost elffers is probably the best book available today on printed textile design. its therefore my number one recommendation to anyone interested in the genre. a generous size of 30 x 23cm and a wopping 443 pages with 1,823 colour images make this a comprehensive review of the many styles of design. motifs and patterns are divided into sections such as floral, geometric, abstract, and then futher subdivided i.e dots, stripes, paisley, stars. currently an absolute bargain on amazon uk at just £21.45, 0r $41 at amazon USA.

Hope you're getting a commission on these (see Decor8 has a shop through amazon now) cos I just bought this! It takes weeks to ship here - just long enough to forget about it and then have a marvellous surprise. Anyway, thanks for the recomm.
