anna engstrom, creator of the blog red.house is an industrial designer by day but has recently been creating patterns that are inspired by traditional Swedish kurbits patterns. based on folk designs kurbits were often hand painted onto furniture, anna is originally from sweden but has lived in boston for 6 years. she had been having these ideas for a long time and finally decided to draw them up, and now wants to decide what to do with her designs. she may want to turn them into prints, cards, textiles depending on feedback she recieves here. however, anna is also open, and would happily welcome, invitations to distribute her designs in other ways, both in 2D and 3D format through manufacturers and or companies. contact anna via red.house if you have any comments or want to get in touch.

I have been seeing several Swedish designs out there like the patterns you have listed. I have been trying to push this trend at work, but they just aren't getting it! Thanks for the post!
