DESIGNER - mel smith

these beautiful patterns are from a portfolio collection called 'winter wonderland' by mel smith. mel is a freelance surface designer based in hampton, uk. she graduated 2 years ago from the university of wolverhampton with a first in design for interior textiles. she is currently freelancing with an agent and has a fabulous portfolio of work. mel has designed for several card companies, including hotchpotch, and created rugs which are currently sold in john lewis. projects for plates, kitchen textiles and wall decals are all within her portfoilo. if like me you love her work please contact mel via her website here. i think winter wonderland would make lovely fabrics or 12x12 scrapbook papers.
below, a few more designs from mel smith's portfolio - suggestions for plates, kitchen textiles, and wall stickers.

Love the woodsie pallet! Less snow for this winter collection and more greens and topes! I also think this would make a lovely scrapbook collection.

I like the freshness of these, how innovative to see someone playing aound with our traditional ideas. I would love to cover some of my old journals with these designs.
