I wondered if you have any tips on places to stay in NY, I know you had a trip there earlier in the year.

in may this year i stayed at 'the new yorker' hotel which was brilliant.
its on 34th street just along from macy's. really great and central.
in 2006 i stayed at 'the belevedere' on west 48th st which was nice but the location was not ideal for shopping. but it was in the theatre district so you could walk back late a night from a show in just a few mins.
if i go again i would choose the new yorker :)
