have you checked in to see whats happening over at the 25 project lately ?. 25 is the work of crowded teeth's michelle romo and you'll find a permanent link on this blog on the left hand side. we've just enjoyed a month of papercraft where michelle designed and made all sorts of fun characters totally out of paper (like the toaster below) and this month the theme is colour theory so that should be really interesting.
