this beautiful embroidered bedlinen was spyed in the window of 'next home'. i loved the colour palette, which like yesterdays john lewis design features orange. this time it was paired with an aubergine deep purple. also in the window was a bright summer floral bedlinen, inside a decorative font tea towel really caught my eye. there were box sets of retro style mugs, and a pink & blue doiley design collection.

Some of the NEXT stuff reminds me of Orla Kiely, what do you think?

orla kiely is without a doubt a very influential designer - but dont forget many of orla's references are motifs from the 1960's and 70's so these types of looks and styles are not new.
the more retro influences the better i say : )
