some of the images that have popped up in my inbox lately have included these hand printed textile patterns from craft chi which is the home based business of amy ybarra-murphy of austin, texas who finds inspiration in making modern versions of traditional, cultural folk motifs. amy especially thought we would be interested to see her photoshop pattern tutorial.
designers ridley & dowse have a brand new fabric print called 'glider' which is available by the metre, and can be found on mugs and cushions. as seen in their boutique.
renee rivas is recent graduate of the savannah college of art and design (in atlanta, GA), earning her M.F.A. degree in Illustration. for the last few years, renee has been focusing her work on surface illustration, patterns, and children's book illustration with her whimsical and quirky style. renee sent in a set of summer patterns of which my fave were these sunglasses...
allie j ban is a freelance designer based in new york. last summer allie worked as a textile design intern and is now selling her prints through the oaffi design studio.
