if you are a fan of the japanese paumes series then you will certainly enjoy 'open studios' - the new book from lotta jansdotter published by chronicle. here lotta and photographer jenny hallengren visit 24 designers studios and of course unlike the fabulous jeu de paumes books the text in this book is in english so we can get an insight into how they work as well. artists featured include hable construction, sesame letterpress, cilla ramnek, and bonbon. the book is divided into three sections brooklyn, stockholm, and tokyo. in true japanese style the two thirds front cover wrap can be slipped off to reveal a lovely bold lotta design. see it here on amazon uk or amazon usa.
