sam hughes trained as a textile designer at st. martins in london and produced surface designs for all sorts companies for many years. but same had a desire to make as well as design and so she began making lampshades, at first with vintage fabrics but now with her own original designs (featured here). sam also hand makes the bases from oak and chrome. the patterns were inspired by her own textile designs and vintage crockery. you check out sam hughes full lighting collection online here.
