IN MY INBOX............

here are some of the images that have landed in my inbox over the last few weeks. first up are calendars and stationery designed by jess williams at boxhouse publishing who produce the 'organised mum' range. for their 2011/12 range their research led them to pick up on the trend for scandinavian-style patterns and retro pattern designs from the 1950s. below : gabrielle treanor designs, makes, and sells eco-friendly gifts, decorations and homewares on her website the green gables, as well as in other retail outlets. gabrilelle says she is on something of a mission to prove that gorgeous can be green and pretty can be planet-friendly! below : heather gray started a small needlepoint company to offer modern kits, patterns and canvases so everyone can diy their out heart out. she feels until now, needlepoint has been associated with busy victorian florals or overly cute teddy bears and flip-flops. it is heather's hope to introduce a new generation to the rewarding art of needlepoint through her etsy shop here.
below : liz at design thoughts is involved in a project to design cards and patterns based on ceramic fragments she found on the beach in cornwall.i always enjoy patterns that involve apples like these (below) from shery k designs.

below : ashleigh mindel has just graduated with a degree in printed textiles and surface pattern design from leeds college of art. ashleigh's final project from her degree is a collection of wallpapers created using a combination of intricate paintings of flora and small mammals, inspired by her allotment. below : new cushions from swedish company camp cirrus now have a british stockist in caroline mcgrath which is a very stylish online store.
