i've recently spotted three maps designs and thought i could combine them in a post together. in this map of the USA each state features a different pattern and was created by jpress the online etsy shop of designer susan mcCanless. its available from here.
vicky cockell of hello geronimo hand makes artwork using vintage buttons and badges. this map of britain was snapped in the royal festival hall shop window, but you can also view vicky's work online here.
emma bridgewater's new pattern looks abstract at first but cleverly incorporates an outline map of the british isles. the ‘great britain’ range is a bold blue design hand sponged in their UK pottery.

Whilst killing time waiting for the train home after a weekend in London we strolled along to the Festival Hall Shop.while I was waiting outside my wife called me back into the shop. She had seen the button map and in the middle was her birth year!the artwork was commissioned by the shop to celebrate the festival of Britain. Needless to say we bought it
well done bazzer - im glad the button map has sold to an enthusiastic owner. you are lucky to have such a nice artwork : )
