todays print & pattern posts all feature vintage design. there are some wonderful finds you can browse on websites like etsy which has stylish shops like pomme de jour where i found these little gems. cute children's playing cards like those above & below always offer fabulous illustrations. 
interesting mid century and vintage kid's designs can always be found at winter's moon.

I remember these types of inspiration ideas when I was young. I used to cut them out and paste them on my notebook. They still look cute as ever.
