last week I attended the laura ashley autumn winter 2013 press preview. 2013 is a special year for the company as they are celebrating 60 years of design heritage. the culmination of all this inspiration will be the release of their 'heritage' collection where they have delved into their print archives to re-release selected designs, reinvigorating them with new colourways and concepts. one of those designs (above and below) is the eighties classic 'emma' which returns on wallpaper, fabric, accessories and even perfume...
it is six decades since laura and bernard ashley first produced hand printed scarves on their kitchen table in pimlico. that original scarf ,which was on display at the press show, features red geometric squares and is part of the heritage revival collection. now given a name pelham the print is being released on wallpaper, fabric, and accessories. plus to come full circle its also being released as a scarf again in striking black & white silk. see the current laura ashley range here or see more press show pics on their company blog.
