Lamai McCartan is a designer from Melbourne, Australia. In 2014 Lamai won the Spoonflower Fabric8 competition. Since winning the top prize to have a fabric collection released with Robert Kaufman Lamai has signed up with an agent Wild Apple and exhibited with them at Surtex. Lamai started her career as a Signwriter, specialising in design and digital print before moving into illustration and pattern design which seemed a natural progression for her when she became a mother and began working from home. It has been an amazing journey so far with some exciting freelancing roles and she hopes to continue to build a great portfolio with Wild Apple.
