IKEA - new catalogue

At the end of August an Ikea catalogue always comes through the letterbox and gives me the perfect excuse to see whats new in their textiles and prints. The first things to catch my eye are some fun bedding designs created by Edholm and Ullenius on the theme animals and music. Above and below is Flickoga followed by Silveroga which both co-ordinate with shaped cushions called Thorine.

Also from Sissi Edholm and Lisa Ullenius comes a Geometric bathroom range called Nimmern.

And below : Ikea bath towels and shower curtain designed by Paulin Machado.

These colourful label kits called Hemstak were designed by Hilda Sigurdardottir and Ólafar Birnu Gardarsdottir (of the Reykjavik Letterpress) and they look great with their mix of bold geometric shapes and fine black pen lines.

Also spotted in the new Ikea catalogue designs by Swedish graphic design legend Olle Eksell. In the ÖNSKEDRÖM collection his illustrations appear on a range of products from small artcards, coasters, trays and mugs to larger rugs, bedlinen, metre fabric and posters.
