DESIGNER - esther nariyoshi

Esther Nariyoshi is a Surface Pattern Designer and Letterer. Esther has worked as an Art Director, Interactive Designer, and Creative Director before falling in love with the beautiful world of surface pattern design and lettering. She greatly enjoys playful motifs, organic shapes and geometry. Esther loves to work in vectors because of  their flexibility and scaling ability. She usually starts out an idea on paper, once her heart is struck by the sketches, she will translate and articulate them in Illustrator, or other vector drawing apps on her iPad pro. Her college and master’s degrees involve quite a bit of training in both science and art, which reflects her love for both worlds. Esther loves the spontaneity of freehand drawing, but also enjoys the process of meticulous calculation and applying geometric principles to make her patterns. See more online here.
