Jodie Smith from is a about to graduate from Leeds College of Art where she is currently exhibiting her end of year show, and later in the month she will be at New Designers in London until July 2nd. Jodie has a beautiful illustrative, playful style with a love of colour and characters that she feels lends itself well to designing for children. Jodie would love to design children's clothing, books, greetings, and stationery in the future. She is seeking in house or freelance work but is also considering looking representation by an agent. Jodie enjoys the traditional drawing processes such as lino printing and collage and is inspired by illustrators Christian Robinson and Eric Carle. Last year Jodie exhibited at Premiere Vision in Paris where she met Lemon Ribbon whom she completed a work placement with. She has won awards from Tigerprint, Hallmark, Mollies Makes and The Textile Society.
