SUMMER 2017 - marimekko

I thought we might need some bright colour and bold pattern today - and where better to look than to Finnish legends Marimekko who have released a new collection for 2017 called Ojakellukka. The name translates at 'Water Avens', a type of flower from the rose family that grows in wet conditions. Renowned Marimekko designer Aino-Maija Metsola created the print by putting the shapes of different plants out of paper and putting pieces together as a colourful burst of flowers.
