BLUE PRINT 2018 - este macleod

Este MacLeod's paintings are informed by the real and the imaginary. Her background in textile and ceramic design is noticeable in her stylised and colourful art. Working intuitively, she experiments with the layering of colours, patterns and textures to create her trademark floral, simplified plant and bird creations. A variety of painting techniques are incorporated to layer colours and shapes, adding an ethereal element to work. Born in South Africa, Este lives in England with her family. Collaborations with interior designers, department stores, and publishers are regularly undertaken.
