I'm thrilled to have a new member in the Designers for Hire Directory again today. Scandinavian Surface Pattern designer Solvejg Makaretz is the creative mind behind Tröskö Design. Her work goes from simple stylised designs to detailed story-telling; preferably with a sense of humour, and they cater for children and the 'young at heart'. Solvejg's inspiration comes from her observations of the world going by, from folklore and from happy childhood memories. Licensing clients include Naigai, Nishikawa, Robert Kaufman, and Spotlight. Solvejg would especially love to see her designs in children’s books, and on children's clothes, home decor, stationary, and would love to design more fabrics.
