BLUEPRINT 2019 - show flyer round-up

Blue Print opens in New York on Monday (20th May) and I've loved the enthusiasm that has surrounded the show and the build up to it. It seems this show has really filled the gap that Surtex left when it moved to February. Good luck to all exhibitors and visitors to the show. Here we have a final round-up of show flyers from this years exhibitors. Above and below are from Este McCleodEste's colourful and bold art is used for products ranging from stationery to homeware. Recent collaborations include Crate&Barrel, Flame tree publishers and Paper Product Design. You can follow Este on Instagram here.

Below : Blue Boa Studio is a boutique NYC surface design business. Ulla Sedek, the owner and head designer, is a classically trained artist who also embraces the latest design technology and software. Ulla holds BFA degrees in Fashion Design and Fabric Styling from FIT, and completed additional illustration courses in Paris and CAD and machinery courses in NYC. It is the combination of traditional renderings and understanding of production processes that give their designs that special edge needed for commercial success. Ulla also partners with and mentors a group of hand-selected artists. Although based in NYC, Ulla’s favorite source of inspiration are the tropics of the Caribbean and the bohemian rawness of Santa Fe and the surrounding desert. They look forward to the Blue Print show and meeting new faces in Booth 19 at Shop Studios
Below : The Brooklyn Nest. From their Williamsburg waterfront studio in Brooklyn (overlooking Manhattan) The Brooklyn Nest represent 28 artists. One of their full-time art directors, Donna Catanese, came from Joann Fabrics and American Greetings. She also used to own the studio called Lucky Day. They participate in hows such as Heimtexil, Surtex, Blueprint (both NYC and SF), and Printsource. They aim to be the chillest studio to work with. After so many years in the business, their group knows how to make a studio tick without all the stress. The reason they are called Nest is because they represent other studios as capsule studios under them. They add them to their “nest” and their sales person travels every week representing their brands with Brooklyn Nest's. Find them online here and on Instagram.
