Our Friday eye candy this week comes from iconic Finnish brand Marimekko. Designed by Aino-Maija Metsola Marimekko’s Letto fabric features a botanical pattern that portraying the flora of the Finnish wetlands in a palette of earthy brown and green with pops of warm floral tones. Letto means Fen in Finnish and the print features on textiles, bedding and tableware.
I thought it was also noting a new geometric collection called Tiiliskivi (meaning Bricks). It was designed by Marimekko's founder Armi Ratia and reflects her belief in the simple beauty of everyday life.
