Marimekko will be celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2021 and to clebrate they'll be presenting interesting collaborations creating new forms of Marimekko favorites. The first of those is with designers Antti Kekki and Matts Bjolin. The idea was to look at Marimekko with new eyes and bring something new while using existing elements familiar to the brand.
Antti Kekki is a Helsinki-based graphic designer, illustrator and surface designer who enjoys bold colours. His work usually involves collaging cut paper forms that are carefully arranged. Matts Bjolin is an art director and multi-disciplinary designer also based in Helsinki.He loves to create surprising and contrasting juxtapositions.
More collaborations with Marimekko and other artists are still to be revealed.
