We have another fantastic new entry in the Designers For Hire Directory today. Petitpattern is the studio label of Muriel Fuster an illustrator and designer of children's prints based in Barcelona and mother of two beautiful girls.
Since she was a child Muriel loved to draw and so she has never stopped doing it. Her training was oriented towards graphic design, but since she started working Muriel has been directing her steps towards pattern design, with which she fell madly in love. After almost 20 years working for private companies in the textile sector, Muriel made the decision to create her brand Petitpattern and dedicate all her time to what she is truly passionate about.
She describes her style as optimistic and cheerful. Muriel enjoys creating characters and animals using vibrant colour palettes and always spends a lot of time taking care of the details in her patterns.
Inspiration
comes from the universe that surrounds the little ones in the house, the simple shapes and the repetitions with a retro air. She loves exploring illustrations and patterns all the time.
Muriel is very versatile and loves new challenges. She works at creating graphic universes for toys, design for childcare products, the creation of print collections for home textiles, fashion, packaging and stationery. "I enjoy every day at my job" she says.
