if you are asked to design a calendar there is much to think about, not just the 12 monthly images but equally important are the number layouts. you can really get creative with these too.

last time i featured vanessa arbuthnott's beautiful textiles was back in april, i loved her woodland and wildflower designs, but now she's back with her great new 'sky collection' featuring a lovely vintage country look using birds, trees, and flowers. absolutely gorgeous.

its much harder than i thought going back to work today, so im easing back into daily blogging with a look at some patterned products i was either given as a present or bought this christmas. first up is this great little mug print i found in next. i loved the colours and the design so much i just had to buy one for my mug collection. these are cups that i never use but just collect for the prints. also below are some snaps taken instore showing a set of tea-towels and co-ordinating stripe design mug. plus a couple of other things instore of interest.
my best present this year was an orla kiely purse - im mad about stem prints and they dont come much better than this. below is something i bought myself, floral design on pop tape.
this was another cool gift - a washbag from next with a cute owl print.
