PAPERCHASE - boutigue

It is of course Thanksgiving Day today in the USA so lots of our American readers will be busy spending time with family. So its appropriate that my Paperchase post today features an american designer Anna Bond of the Rifle Paper Co. whose designs are stocked by Paperchase. The above card is taken from the Rifle website and the snaps below were from the boutique gift room at the Paperchase AW14 press show. They are also stocking products made by Rifle but designed by French artist Garance Dore.

After seeing them I wanted to know more about Garance Dore and although these designs are NOT from Paperchase I thought they would be of interest.

And finally from Paperchase's gift boutique at the AW press show I spotted a pile of notebooks by Eley kishimoto for Marks Japan.

PAPERCHASE - at 50

Can you believe stationery business Paperchase is celebrating 50 years in 2018? To celebrate they have created a collection featuring the bold patterns and colour to represent the philosophy that made them famous. This 50th anniversary represents the first foundation of the company by art students Judith Cash and Eddie Pond in 1968. Things really took off much later for Paperchase when WH Smith got involved and in 1996 they became the independent Paperchase we know and love today. I thought I would celebrate all things Paperchase myself and do a sweep of the store to showcase all the current design highlights. We start with that Paperchase at 50 collection.

PAPERCHASE PREVIEW

its my last day of blogging before my annual summer break, and luckily im going out on a bang with this exclusive paperchase preview. 'folk trees' is a forthcoming design from the paperchase autumn/winter season and is not yet in the shops. this scandinavian inspired design is absolutely beautiful and comes on the full range of paperchase products such as files, photo albums, notebooks, mugs, etc. it also follows through in an alternative version onto christmas cards, wrap and decorations. dont forget this a special sneak preview featuring a few snapshots i took at the paperchase press show - but look out for 'folk trees' in stores this autumn. paperchase are also launching a brand new website in september making it even easier to get hold of their products online.

NEW SEASON - paperchase

Print & Pattern is back for the new year 2021. As I write the UK is under another lockdown as Covid19 is spreading so fast. But I do have plenty of store snaps to post up from last year that were held back in order to showcase only Christmas designs. But I need to start with the sad news that one of my favourite stores Paperchase is reported to be on the 'brink of collapse'. With their High Street stores unable to open in the run up to Christmas crucial sales were lost. They also have many stores in airports and railway stations and most people now work from home and cannot travel overseas. It will be very sad if this 50 year old company cannot be rescued as they have always been both a purveyor and purchaser of interesting design. I'll be keeping everything crossed that they will survive and with that in mind I'm posting some of their current and new products here. You can still shop at Paperchase online here.
