fire king

continuing the weeks vintage theme with a look at some fire king patterns. these are terrific little white glass pieces from american company anchor hocking. if you want to see more theres a great book on the subject which i posted previously here. collectors and admirers will find lots of fire king mugs for sale on ebay, or if its just images you're after try googling for japanese websites who love fire king. for example mikan and jadeite magic gallery.
i'll be rounding off this vintage week tommorow with a look at pyrex.

I love how graphic and simple they are.

The designs are great, but that bright white wierdly milky surface has somehow always given me the creeps! Go figure.
Have a great weekend.

Fire-King made a whole wonderful artistic name for itself. From cartoon characters, to retro, to bizarre. I think that is why we love them so much!
