ILLUSTRATOR - max low

Max Low is a British illustrator currently studying for a BA Hons at Hereford College of Arts. Even though he has yet to graduate his clients have already included Anorak Magazine and The Hay Festival. Max creates bold colourful designs that use a lot pattern motifs. His design heroes include Aino Maija Isola (of Marimekko fame), and for colour he adores Matisse and Howard Hodgkin. Max loves to use collage and what he calls 'large dollops of colour'. He usually begins a design by painting with inks and then scans them into the computer to arrange them. After graduating Max hopes to make a living in art and design and perhaps join a collective. In the meantime you can contact Max via his website here to see more or enquire after licensing and commissions.
