Yuya is a paper cutting artist, illustrator and designer from Japan. Yuya is known for his folk style designs that feature in everything from food packaging to CD covers, calendars and tea towels. He finds inspiration in his love for 1950's/60's graphics, folk crafts from around the world, Scandinavian design, toys, antiques, and architecture. Yuya studied architecture at Musashino Art University and only began an illustration career in 2007. He lives in Tokyo with his wife Keiko where they run a studio called Atelier Folk. I picked out some favourites from Yuya's website and you can see more online here.
