Magpie have translated his unique and whimsical screen print designs on to vegan fine china, on new shapes, designed by Magpie to complement the stunning prints. The textiles collection is all made in the UK. David Weidman sadly died in 2014 and his daughter Lenna Weidman looks after his legacy as the director of Weidman Arts. You can find the Magpie David Weidman for sale at Magpie and in lots of online stockists now. Retailers can stock the products via Cubic.

If this post has inspired you to find out more about David Weidman you can find the official website here. David worked as an animator for studios such as Hanna-Barbera, but turned to screen printing as a outlet to express his own ideas. In 2010 after many of David Weidman's artworks had been featured in TV show Madmen they caught the eye of Urban Oufitters (which was mentioned on P&P) and in 2008 a book to showcase his work was released which seems to be super rare now but is listed on Amazon UK or Amazon USA. Here is what Lenna Weidman said of her father's work when interviewed by Aria Shop...."I know he hoped that his art made people feel good, inspired and joyful. It meant everything to him when someone appreciated his work. He made art for everyone and the more people he could touch, the happier he was".
